cybersafetyCybersafety is the safe and responsible use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).  Children are increasingly using technology in their day-to-day lives, therefore Cybersafety education and safety protocols are imperative.

At St Bede’s we

  • maintain a positive approach about the many benefits brought by technologies.
  • have strategies in place to minimise and manage risks.
  • have a Cybersafety program which aims to teach students about how to be safe online and how to be responsible digital citizens.
  • provide information to parents about Cybersafety.

We source information through the Office of the Children's eSafety Commissioner: https://www.esafety.gov.au/. There are many resources on this website which we use with students. We have biennial staff and parent education evenings facilitated by eSmart (Alannah and Madeleine Foundation). eSmart also run student information sessions for students in Years 3-6.

Information for parents can be found on the following link: https://www.esafety.gov.au/education-resources/iparent
